What is your Prolific Quality Output?

Author: Taha Malik

Hey!
Hope everyone is doing well. Welcome to the next round of the Sunan Weekly Roundup!

What we are working on

This week, we released another timely article which discusses the 5 skills every graphic designer needs in 2020. As designers, marketers, and entrepreneurs, it’s critical for us to constantly be adapting and learning new things which in return provide a greater value to the people we serve – our community. Personally, number one is always my favorite. It’s always amazing to see designers pushing the limits and boundaries here and creating truly remarkable things!

My biggest takeaway this week: What is your Prolific Quality Output?

Prolific Quality Output (PQO) is another great gem from High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard. So often, many of us go through our daily motions and the to-do lists of our lives without taking a step back and consciously analyzing what outputs are taking up our time.

As Brendon mentions in the book, “High performers have mastered the art of prolific quality output (PQO). They produce more high quality output than their peers over the long term, and that is how they become more effective, better known, more remembered. They aim their attention and consistent efforts toward PQO and minimize any distractions (including opportunities) that would steal them away from their craft” (Burchard, 2017).

As marketers and entrepreneurs, we need to take a critical look and determine what are our PQOs. What are the few tasks that we need to master and do well consistently that will move the needle in our career and business.

If you want to be on your A-game, you can’t be a dabbler. You must consciously choose who you want to be and will that into existence.

For me, my PQO are a few things. (One) I need to create video content where I am delivering valuable content. (Two) I need to connect with organizations and demonstrate to them the value and impact Sunan can create for them. For me, these are the two most critical things at this stage in my business. But we can’t stop there. Once we have identified what our PQOs are, we need to proactively schedule them into our week. On average, 60% of our week should be oriented towards our PQO.

Now here is your challenge for the week. Find out what your PQOs are and schedule them into your calendar. Remember, each day you have two choices: repeat or evolve, the ball is in your court!

Time to level up!
