Pushing The Boundaries of Comfort Zone

Author: Taha Malik

Hey!

Hope everyone is doing well. Welcome to the next round of the Sunan Weekly Roundup!

What we are working on:

This week, we released another great article titled What Can Website Analytics Tell You. Web analytics are an absolutely essential part of your digital marketing strategy.

A majority of companies invest a lot of money in designing websites to play one important role – bring in as many customers as possible. This is why analytics are so important. Unless you know all about be the visitors your site is getting, you can’t really do anything to bring in more!

Another amazing thing we are currently working on are designs for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics! Yes, you heard that right, and I still can’t believe it!

My biggest takeaway this week: Pushing The Boundaries of Comfort Zone

So often, many of us are stuck in our comfort and fear zones. We want to be in control of our surroundings, our livelihood, and our outcomes without rocking the boat too much.

The problem is, as I’m sure you are well aware, growth and opportunities do not come here. You cannot change the world by staying in your comfort zone. If you aren’t moving, you aren’t growing.

On the cold evening of December 1st, when the bus driver was screaming at Rosa Parks to move to the back of the bus, did she default to what was expected or did she challenge the status quo and stand up for what was right? She fought for her rights. She pushed herself outside of her comfort/safety zone and the rest is history.

As Will Smith so beautifully said, “God placed the best things on life on the other side of fear!”

As marketers and entrepreneurs, we must first realize what zone we are in, and second, figure out what needs to be done to reach our growth zone.

How can we reach our growth zone?

It’s actually easier than you think…it comes down to having a growth mindset and perspective. We can’t keep looking at challenges as problems. Rather, we have to shift our perspective on the challenge and look at it as an opportunity: an opportunity to improve our situation, an opportunity to improve the market place, an opportunity to make the lives of our loved ones better.

We must be willing and able to acquire new skill sets and utilize new resources to be able to maximize these new opportunities. We must be able to push ourselves further to conquer our new goals and objectives.

Now, here is your challenge for the week: take a hard look at yourself and determine which zone you are in. Then, determine what you need to do to get to the growth zone. Let’s make the growth zone our new comfort zone.

Time to level up!
